lyrics
two kids out in the desert
their tears clogging up the horizon with the weeping sun
you can be screwing around and still be dead serious inside
almost like you know
something’s gonna die out there
almost like you know
the wind won’t blow the same way next time
(the water is sinking)
the water more shallow
the view less astounding
endless miles and minutes and messages relayed over them
hearing those words you always wished you could say
(the water is sinking)
the final word
the dam breaks
what was that final word?
sometimes when i dream i see her smile
was the the glimpse that she gave me enough to last a lifetime?
iwannagetfuckedup! slaps and their entire discography just resonates with me incredibly well. check em out (...and the split i did w them!) calendar year

I haven't listened to and analyzed/ felt this album enough to have a wholly formed opinion on it yet. For me, mixing like this leads to vocals and music blending together in an almost lyric-less way; till I read them, I have no idea what's going on here. But I do love the overall theme, feeling and - the interludes on 4 & 9 set a lovely tone. It's dreamlike and melancholic in a way; hopeful, but not optimistic, rather countered with sadness. That's the feeling I get. It does speak to me, ch. sleepy_foxie
